This is a common saying among Marriage and Family Therapists. I remember the first time I heard it. I remember feeling as if each of the words were tapping an internal tuning fork that I didn't know existed in my body. Even without an understanding of what it fully meant, it was sending reverberations through my being. It was ringing truth in my bones.
We. Create. Each. Other.
Think about the people who have helped to shape you. In helpful and unhelpful ways. How you and I walk through the world, see the world, see ourselves is the product of the individuals, relationships and experiences in our lives. Think of the people you are shaping. In helpful and unhelpful ways.
We. Create. Each. Other.
The power of every human interaction is immeasurable. Each one has the potential to hold aching beauty, immense pain, connection, distrust, joy, sadness, enCOURAGEment, self-doubt....you get the idea. What an incredible honor and deep responsibility.
We. Create. Each. Other.
